Begabung und Expertise
Eine mathematikdidaktische Perspektive

Traditionally research on giftedness and research on expertise are strictly separated. Many reasons for this can be specified; especially important one I have collected in the first section of this paper, intentionally sometimes in a pointed way. But in newer psychological studies there can be found arguments and approaches for a fruitful combination. I will depict this for the field of mathematical giftedness and from the viewpoint of mathematics didactics in the further sections of the paper. Possible consequences for the fostering of interested or gifted children and youth conclude the paper.
