Abstract

This paper examines the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT in conjunction with Wolfram Alpha to promote digital skills of prospective teachers. The focus is on change of representation between graphical and verbal representations of quadratic functions. A qualitative study was conducted to analyze the challenges that arise when using such technologies and how these can be mastered. The results show that LLMs enable innovative learning environments that promote technological skills and support reflection and the precise linguistic description of mathematical content.
