The Centers of Natural Resources and Development (CNRD)
JNRD was established in 2011 by the international university network CNRD, (www.cnrd.info), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and DAAD Exceed Program. CNRD promotes academic exchange, research and cooperation related to natural resources management, with a focus on water and land resources, ecosystems and renewable energies. The network aims at providing science based information to societies — especially those living in data-scarce regions — to contribute to the Post-2015 Development Agenda and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). BASIN.INFO.NET is an online repository providing basic information about river basins to stakeholders, students and researchers. Its key objective is to give an overview on the natural and socioeconomic environment of the basin, major challenges, water uses and governance aspects. The repository includes available data, latest research results, publications and links to sources related to the basins under study.
