Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Theory of Subveillance/Überwachungsmedien, Virtuelle Topographien/Raumtheorie, Historische Techno-Logie(n)/Mediengeschichte sowie Fashion Media Studies/Medienästhetik.
Dr. Silke Roesler-Keilholz is a research associate at the Institute for Media Culture and Theater at the University of Cologne. Her research focuses on theory of surveillance/surveillance media, virtual topographies/spatial theory, historical techno-logie(s)/media history, and fashion media studies/media aesthetics.

Christoph Bieber (*1970) ist Professor für Politikwissenschaft an der Universität Duisburg-Essen, dort forscht er zu Demokratie und digitaler Transformation. Außerdem interessieren ihn Fragen zu Ethik, Transparenz und öffentlicher Kommunikation. Von 2018 bis 2026 ist Bieber beurlaubt an das Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) in Bochum. Dort leitet er die Arbeitsgruppe „Digitale Demokratische Innovationen“, Schwerpunkte sind dabei politische Aspekte von Smart Cities sowie Formate digitaler Entscheidungsfindung.
Christoph Bieber (*1970) is a professor of political science at the University of Duisburg-Essen, where he conducts research on democracy and digital transformation. He is also interested in issues relating to ethics, transparency, and public communication. Until 2026 Bieber is on leave at the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) in Bochum. There he heads the working group “Digital Democratic Innovations,” which focuses on the political aspects of smart cities and digital decision-making.

Christina Dinar ist Sozialarbeiterin und Kulturwissenschaftlerin. Sie forscht zu digitaler Zivilgesellschaft, Hate Speech und Plattform-Governance. Nach Stationen bei Wikimedia Deutschland entwickelte sie mit Kolleg:innen bei der Amadeu Antonio Stiftung den Ansatz „Digital Streetwork“. Derzeit promoviert sie an der Katholischen Hochschule für Sozialwesen Berlin.
Christina Dinar is a social work and cultural studies scholar researching digital civil society, hate speech, and platform governance. She worked with Wikimedia Germany and the Amadeu Antonio Foundation and developed the concept of “Digital Streetwork.” She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Catholic University of Applied Social Sciences Berlin.

Prof'in Dr. Nadia Kutscher ist Inhaberin des Lehrstuhls für Erziehungshilfe und Soziale Arbeit am Department Heilpädagogik und Rehabilitation an der Humanwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität zu Köln. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Digitalisierung und Digitalität in der Sozialen Arbeit, Digitale Mediennutzung im Kontext von Kindheit, Jugend und Familie, Digitale Ungleichheit und ethische Fragen von Digitalität und Digitalisierung, Bildung und soziale Ungleichheit sowie ethisch-normative Fragen professionellen Handelns.
Prof. Dr. Nadia Kutscher holds the Chair of Educational Assistance and Social Work at the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Human Sciences at the University of Cologne. Her research focuses on digitalization and digitality in social work, digital media use in the context of childhood, youth, and family, digital inequality and ethical issues of digitality and digitalization, education and social inequality, and ethical-normative issues of professional practice.
Prof. Dr. Johannes Münster ist Professor für Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Universität zu Köln und arbeitet im Exzellenzcluster ECONtribute: Markets and Public Policy sowie im Zentrum für Soziales und Ökonomisches Verhalten (C-SEB). Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind in der Medienökonomie und betreffen Themen wie Media Bias und Misinformationen.

Prof. Dr. Johannes Münster is professor for economics at the University of Cologne, and a member of ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy, a Cluster of Excellence under Germany’s Excellence Strategy. He is also afiliated with the Center for Social and Economic Behavior (C-SEB). His research focusses on media economics, in particular on media bias and misinformation.

Dr. Solveig Ottmann ist Akademische Rätin am Lehrstuhl für Medienwissenschaft an der Universität Regensburg. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Soziale Medien mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Extremismus und Propaganda sowie die Geschichte und Theorie akustischer Medien und der Wissensgeschichte von Akustik.
Dr. Solveig Ottmann is lecturer at the Chair of Media Studies at the University of Regensburg. Her research focuses on social media, with an emphasis on extremism and propaganda, as well as the history and theory of acoustic media and the history of knowledge in acoustics.
Isabell Otto ist Professorin für Medienwissenschaft und Prorektorin für Diversität und Karriereentwicklung an der Universität Konstanz. Sie ist Projektleiterin am Konstanzer Standort des Forschungsinstituts Gesellschaftlicher Zusammenhalt und Ko-Leiterin des GameLab der Universität Konstanz. Sie forscht zum Verhältnis von Spiel, Ambiguität und Medien.
Isabell Otto is a Professor of Media Studies and vice rector for diversity and Academic Staff Development at the University of Konstanz. She is principal investigaotr at the Konstanz branch of the Research Institute for Social Cohesion and co-director of the GameLab at the University of Konstanz. Her current research focuses on the relationship between games, ambiguity, and media.

Dr Joanna Redden is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at Western University. She co-directs the UK-based Data Justice Lab and the Canadian Starling Centre. Joanna researches the social justice implications of government and business uses of Artificial Intelligence.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Frauke Rostalski ist Inhaberin des Lehrstuhls für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht, Rechtsphilosophie und Rechtsvergleichung an der Universität zu Köln. Sie forscht an der Schnittstelle von Recht und Ethik in den Zukunftsfeldern Biomedizin und Digitalisierung (insbesondere Künstliche Intelligenz) sowie zu gesellschaftspolitischen Fragen wie etwa der (Diskurs-)Vulnerabilität und der Gewährleistung von Meinungsfreiheit.
Prof. Dr. Dr. Frauke Rostalski holds the Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Philosophy of Law, and Comparative Law at the University of Cologne. Her research focuses on the intersection of law and ethics in the future-oriented fields of biomedicine and digitalization (especially artificial intelligence), as well as on socio-political issues such as (discourse) vulnerability and the guarantee of freedom of expression.
