Abstract

Fenny Ndapewa, a social geographer from Namibia, will talk about how fashion reveals social status, how dress codes are embedded in the mindscapes of colonialism and how the styling of different groups conveys them an identity and nationalistic belonging. The interview was conducted by Luís Cronopio, a master student and researcher of African culture at the University of Cologne.
