Contributions of different sizes are welcome; there are no restrictions with regard to number of words or images, or any other content. Contributions and enquiries should be sent to the-mouth@uni-koeln.de. We welcome both individual papers for open issues as well as guest-edited theme issues. For contributions on urgent topics, we also offer space in our blog. Manuscripts should be submitted in Palatino Linotype 12 pt, double-spaced, in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format including a PDF copy. Linguistic examples could be presented by using Leipzig glossing rules but do not necessarily have to be interlinearized. We also welcome work that presents language in entirely different, creative, open ways. Multilingual contributions and multimedia components are encouraged. In terms of formatting, italics are preferred to underlining. Tables, figures, images and examples should be placed within the text at the appropriate place, and all figures should be submitted as separate files. As for the review process, we strive for a less violent and more hospitable, constructive way of working on contributions. All submissions are carefully read and discussed by us, as well as occasionally, in case we're not qualified enough for your topic, by specialized colleagues, and then sent back to their author(s) with suggestions and recommendations. We make this process as transparent as possible, providing the names and contact of all involved so that an interaction among all is made possible. Please follow the Harvard citation style with some slight modifications as illustrated in the style sheet.
All submissions must meet the following requirements and should be submitted via email to the-mouth@uni-koeln.de
All published contributions are available as open access publications under the CC BY licence. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication.
Names, email addresses and other personal data entered on this journal's website will only be used for the stated purposes and will not be passed on to third parties.
