About the Journal
Experimental Philosophy is an open forum for cutting-edge research at the intersection of philosophy and the empirical sciences. We welcome submissions that employ experimental methods to investigate both traditional and emerging philosophical questions, including—but not limited to—topics in the philosophy of mind, language, action, ethics, political philosophy, and epistemology. We also invite empirically informed articles, as well as work that critically examines the use of experimental methods or proposes new methodological approaches.
Our mission is to foster dialogue between philosophers and scientists, and to advance philosophical inquiry through innovative empirical approaches. Articles published in Experimental Philosophy combine rigorous conceptual analysis with empirical investigation, making them of interest to philosophers, psychologists, cognitive scientists, legal scholars, and beyond.
Experimental Philosophy is proud to be a completely fee-free journal. We do not collect any publication or processing charges under any circumstances, including from researchers unaffiliated with universities or research institutions. This policy reflects our firm commitment to social justice, equity, and the democratization of knowledge. We seek to ensure that the ability to contribute to and access philosophical research depends solely on the quality of ideas—not on institutional privilege or financial means.
