Call for Papers - Dossier 2027

The Jahrbuch für Geschichte Lateinamerikas / Anuario de Historia de América Latina invites proposals for thematic dossiers in Latin American history. We seek dossier proposals that offer substantive contributions to current historiographical debates and research in the field, written in Spanish, Portuguese, German or English.

The journal aims to publish scholarship on Latin American history across all periods, from the pre-Hispanic era to the contemporary present. Proposed dossiers should bring together original research articles that engage with shared questions, methodologies, or perspectives and that collectively advance historical knowledge of Latin America.

We welcome proposals on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

• Histories of Latin American landscapes, climate, and environments
• Health, disease, and perceptions of the body in Latin American history
• Food, nutrition, and society in Latin America in historical perspective
