Abstract
This article analyzes the assessment under international law of the execution of partisans during wartime, the post-war judicial reckoning with Nazi injustices in Germany as exemplified by the so-called “Cold Amnesty,” and the criminal law assessment of one of the main characters in
the novel „Fabrizio Collini“ from Ferdinand von Schirach’s crime novel „Der Fall Collini“ [translated: „The Collini Case“]. In addition, the article examines how the author subtly weaves the conflict between law and justice into his novel, thereby influencing his readership. Finally, the potential of literary works in relation to the perception of legal issues is discussed.
