Wirklichkeitskonstruktion in populären Kommunikations- und Unterhaltungsformen nachhaltig im Unterricht wahrnehmen, analysieren und kreieren}, volume={3}, url={https://journals.ub.uni-koeln.de/index.php/midu/article/view/1354}, DOI={10.18716/ojs/midu/2021.2.9}, abstractNote={

Abstract (english): Creating worlds. On the construction of reality in popular forms of communication and entertainment and sustainably perceiving, analysing, and creating such worlds at school

Like earlier developments in media technology, digitization, too, provokes an examination of its construction of reality. Didactic research attaches particular significance to dealing with virtual worlds, on the one hand, and border crossers between fictional and factual narration, on the other. Current examples of both points are provided by two of the most popular means of communication and entertainment for young people: Fortnite and Instagram. The analysis shows commonalities in how they each construct reality or virtuality.

Effectively integrating the concept of reality construction into German lessons, however, requires answers to a lot of analytic and didactic questions. The seminar Social Media in German Lessons shows how project-based learning can be used in didactic research to deal with the construction of reality in a practical and academically informed manner. This will hence provide students at school with the necessary space to construct, perceive, and discuss reality in cooperative projects that aim at aesthetic-creative experiences as well as a reflective use of media.
}, number={2}, journal={MiDU - Medien im Deutschunterricht}, author={Franke, Bernhard}, year={2021}, month={Dez.}, pages={1–14} }
